    Default WIP: Marrowdrinker's warehouse.

The dwarf marrowdrinker served as a pirate for many long years. Now retired, he has kept most of his former connection and serves as a trader of sort for the pirates of the region, sealing their ill-gotten goods and, in exchange, supplying them with what they need...
    Here is his warehouse/office/living quarters.

It is very much a WIP but it is late here and I am done for today.

Still, I figured I could get the great minds of the forums working while I am sleeping...

The wide red surrounding will be replaced by a fence. Doors will be added, as well as a tactical grid... There will be a small break at the Northern end where the ship can dock and unload their cargos... And I'll probably have to find another texture for the building's wall...

What else do you guys think need fixing?

Ok, I had a bit of time to work on it...

Changed the wall texture that look liked crud.
Worked on the fence, put some grids and some shadows on the whole thing...

I guess it could be seen as usable...

Looks good. You could try a shadow along the walls for a little depth. (plus it would look like the wall was casting shadows on the objects up against it.) This is really good overall (and I love the intro blurb)

Thanks, normally, there is a dropshadow layer... But I believe I put it under the one containing the furniture, which is, now that I think about it, not the right place to put it...
I shall fix it and maybe work on it some more... Maybe I should use bigger shadows or not blur it as much... (I generally select the area covered by the walls, fill it in black and blur gaussian it 25. Then, maybe, lower its opacity a tiny bit... I guess I could increase the selection by one or two pixels before filling it up..)

Very nice warehouse Simon! Can be used for a lot of settings.

    Thanks.

Yep, I made it first for my weekly game but it should be reusable for other settings too...

Maybe I should make a version wihout the cage... I put it as I wrote the encounter to involve guard dogs... But people might have more used for the map without it...

Anyway, here is a version with the dropshadows raised, as jtougas suggested...

Maybe I should opacify these shadows, though. I dunno, how subtle is too subtle?
