The idea is interesting but it looks like too obviously pasted elements together. Also the orange things are way too pixellated.
I had my first Compass Rose done, and like to hear what u think.. .. and, sorry bad enhlish

To add to what Max has said, the contrast between the blurred central image and the hard pixelated arms of the compass rose is disorienting. Also, the characters within and surrounding the central part of the compass rose sort of get lost due to their blurriness and small size.
Mmmh... okay, thanks.. :p It was meant to be something like that, hard orange and middle blurrines, it looks ok when i did add it in my map, but im gonna do some changes..
Mmh, this is how it looks in map ...

i dunno, but the central image is too blurred. If you not blur the background and just do in the letters how you did in the letter on the outside circle?
Looks better at this size and witn desaturated colors. Now you'll have to show the whole map
Thanks
This is anyway my first map made by computer. Im not so good at drawing, so be nice
I can do some images using different all-ready-there photos.
Ill put some pictures, need to just have it ready.. This world is big, so theres lots of to do..

It's pretty. You're doing hand-drawn effects on parchment. Think about how your in-character cartographer would get the blurred effect, and why. Could it be watercolor/ ink wash? Are there instances of those effects elsewhere on the map? If so, the effect is more believable than just the element by itself.
Mmmh.. Im not sure if i did understand everythink right.. but.. mmh.. u mean is there more blur effects in map?
