    Default Brookhayven - Commission

Did this town map a few months ago, but haven't had time to post. Now I do, so I'll just post a string of WIP photos I took. The final copy can also be viewed in my album here.

Finished version after scanning and fine tuning PS. If anybody had feedback I'd like to hear it.

This is so nice! I love hand drawn maps.
One problem for me, it's the border of the map, I think it's too regular and doesn't fit well with the overall map.

Yeah. I think I agree. This project had some total hours constraints, so I used a border from collective commons, and yes, one can tell it is of a different genesis.
I think I'm going to hand do some knotwork (a very tricky task that takes lots of time as far as my experience goes), scan it and add it to a PS stock for future projects. Thanks for comment Blake.

Yes, this seems like a lot of time-consuming work. But in the end it's always rewarding in a way. Maybe you can design a seamless knotwork pattern and repeat it, one wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
