Map Wakuda Madzi (Wakuda City) v. 1.0

The second city in a Pathfinder homebrew campaign. A pencil and graph paper map, manipulated a little bit for brightness and contrast along with icons and a legend.

Wakuda Madzi sits on an island in the middle of the Black Water Delta near the Dragon's Mouth Coast. It is the central hub for trade within the Southern Kingdom.

    Government: Merchant Lord (Garthax)

    Demographics:

    1. Residential: humans, dwarves
    2. Trading/Business: dwarves, elves, humans, goblins (servants to the dwarves)
    3. Docks/Slums: teifling, lizard-folk, human, half-orc
    4. Merchant Lords Estate: dwarves, humans

Architecture: A heavy Dwarven influence is reflected in the architecture of Wakuda. White stone walls, rounded towers capped with bronze. Huge fountains and parks in the Trading/Business and Estate districts. Brick-paved streets with gutters and sign posts, street torches and rudimentary carriage lanes. An architectural marvel for the city is the 300ft. River Gate between the towers of the bay. A set of three spiked, steel chains that cross the natural cove and a spiked gate that rises 50ft. out of the water. The Docks/Slums, in contrast to the rest of the city, is constructed of deteriorating wooden structures barely standing under their own weight.

Culture: An undoubted influence from the Dwarves has led to an efficient, hard-working, and cold society. The city government enforces codes, laws, and curfews with a bit of an iron fist. Outside the paved areas of the city there is a scrappy, downtrodden, and resentful feeling.

Clothing: (think Middle Ages Europe) tunics, breeches, caps, cloaks, robes, belts, cowls, boots

Economy: trade, shipping, fencing, guilds, pirating, Sweet Leaf cultivation*

*Sweet Leaf is the local cash crop that relies on slave-labor for excessive cultivation (possible quest-lines ensue).
