Thats very nice
I would love to see a larger version and what software did you use to make it?

Looks great at this scale so, yeah, bigger is better The max here is roughly 4000 x 4000 pixels while keeping it under 4.7 megs.

...and don't forget that you can include your map in your post. No need for outside sites like Photobucket, etc. (unless your image is egiganormous! )

Definitely going for the 'real world' look there, and it looks fantastic! Was it all done in PS?
I'd love to get a close up look at the mountains if it's possible.
Yea it was PS... following (roughly) Ascension's tutorials.
So far I want to change the rivers, add some more lakes and add some islands in the lakes.... blend in some details to make them smoother and well add the cities, towns, ports, etc... interactive detail of the different countries.
The scale is huge... it's 3 continents, who knows how many countries and a lot of cities. (Andrew thinks that's his job but I'm loving the map so I'll be taking over the world)
Thanks, here goes a larger size:

It's kinda big.... um yea. Sorry

It's not unusual. My wife does it too, but in R/L.(Andrew thinks that's his job but I'm loving the map so I'll be taking over the world)
Ascension's tutorial is a real beauty, but it does require good ps knowledge on the part of the user. Which I see you have - watch out Ascension!!
I love it when people use a tutorial for a base and then incorporate their own variations of style.

Really nice continental layout, the landmasses look really good.
Thanks!!!! Man oh man!!! I cam back from work... mostly after a rant to my students about how to use photoshop I realized that I'm starting again... Andrew "Your nuts, it's fine" me "but it could be soooo much better"
have a theory on how to make rivers look better... also I hear rumors that there would be an island with molten lava, a volcano is essential.
Thanks all... any advice on how to get volcanoes to look like volcanoes instead of just another mountain would be great.
Thanks again.
