Thread: The Laboratory of Dr. Von Albus

Post The Laboratory of Dr. Von Albus

Here is a map I recently did for the Pathfinder game I run.

Working girls have been turning up dead in the alleys of the southern Crescent Downs. Some of these working girls had connections to the thieves guild that currently employs our players. The players hear rumors of a "retired" wizard from the near by arcane school who has setup a laboratory in the area. When the players investigate, they learn the horrible nature of the experiments, and gruesome fate of the test subjects...

    Nice work RedStar!

You should consider entering something in the I.C.E. Crypt contest.

Thanks! I was definitely going for a dark feel. I just saw the new ICE contest for the crypts... I think I might try my hand at it if I find any free time between making maps for my game. Of course, the players could be sent to crypt...

That's a fantastic "small" dungeon map. I'm really interested in how you got that gory blood spatter effect.

I use Photoshop exclusively to make my maps, so I had access to a bunch of "splatter" brushes. You just apply an overlay or multiply style to the layer and typically get a pretty good look. Just a quick google search for "splatter brushes" gets you quite a few.
