Welcome back!
Hey everyone,
Due to 'Real Life' getting in the way (some of it good and some of it not so good), I've been away the last couple of weeks (or so) from many of the message boards that I usually frequent (I actually don't frequent that many message boards but you get the idea ). This is my post saying I'm back (until the next RL crisis shows up). It is good to be back at the Cartographers' Guild. LOL!
I've got a lot of posts to catch up on but I look forward to it. I haven't done much mapping at all during my short hiatus from the boards but I hope to change that soon. I have several projects that I need to finish and I have a few more that I hope to start but more about those later.
Cheers,
Tim

Thanks guys. Before I get working on more dungeons, I want to finish that Prisoner/Slaver Spaceship layout and I still have that village with the farmers' fields to finish (and to write a tutorial about how I did those fields - I haven't forgotten about that).
Cheers,
Tim

Hey, man; good to see ya back. Hope everything is ok now and getting back to normal.

Thanks for the welcome back, guys. Well Ascension, all I can say is 'normal' is such a relative term - especially for me.
Just to fill you guys in, the good stuff that was keeping me busy was mostly family related stuff like birthdays and such. I don't mind that (even if I have to relax after spending so much time with my wife's family ). I even had friends visit from out of town so that stuff takes up one's time.
The bad stuff is a complication from my diabetes (which itself is under management and under control). I have neuropathy in my feet. Basically the nerves have been damage and are sending mixed signals to my brain. The signals range anywhere from numbness to intense, chronic pain (which gets worse at night and that affects my sleeping). The neuropathy used to be much, much worse but I have been getting it slowly under control. The doctor told me that it often gets worse before it gets better - it is a matter of time. The numbness I have gotten used to and I follow a strict routine to make sure my feet stay healthy (which is a primary concern for any diabetic).
Not to close on such a downer, one of the other good things that has been keeping me busy is I'm writing again (I haven't written anything in several years - I'm usually too busy acting as editor/web host). I also spent the time setting up a Content Management System (known as Joomla) for one of my fanfic sites (DC Legends - DC Comics related fanfic). Next, I plan to set up a Joomla site for my original pulp fiction site as well (Cliffhanger Case Files).
Cheers,
Tim

I wish you a fast and speedy recovery. Looking forward to reading some of your pulp fiction too! I still remember all your good stuff at Thrilling Adventures.
