    Post Small town in the woods

    I worked on this for most of the night, trying out some new techniques.. Some thing's I'm happy about, some things that could've been better haha.

    Comments and Critique are most welcome, I'm a newb so all tips are very, very much appreciated.

    That is looking very nice. I really like the color selection, and the style is really attractive. Funny how the trees there all grow the same way!

    I think this is a good start! I love the look of the trees and the simplified thatched rooftops.

    My suggestions would be to get more contrast in your colors, as they're all pretty much identical in value, and to make the road and rooftops different colors so they're more easily differentiated. When you're using a limited palette of colors, the easiest way to do that would just be to use the same base color but use a stronger value difference between them, which would help bump up the contrast while you're at it!
