I think it looks great but, for me, I never do straight up black...I make it a brown to match the brown along the coast. Looks good nonetheless so nice job
This is a (more or less) finished map of an area I am currently developing for my campaign setting. I made the map in order to help me create an adventure I am going to base here with a lot of travelling and searching. So, here it is!
Hope you like it! As always comments and critiques are welcome. I believe there is room for improvements.

I think it's absolutely gorgeous.
I'd use straight black where the colours of the map are pretty monochrome but not if there's lots of colour. It really works for me.
Yes, gorgeous map. Have some rep!

Very good map, has an old-look-feeling. How did you make the border?
Thank you guys for your comments!
As for the border, after I finished the map, I extended the canvas and used a celtic pattern from here to fill around the map.
not bad, not bad.
I like the way you did the forests, the lines really help fill in the spaces without making it look cluttered.

Quite nice, though I feel the border is a bit overwhelming - at least for me.

I like it, looks very nice. Particularly like the symbols you used.

Pimping my worldmap here. Still WIP... long way to go, but I'm pretty proud of what I've done so far...
That's a thing of beauty. Very nice. Deserves some rep.
