Map World of Kesumi - Global Map

I have previously posted a map of my game world done in CC3. Here is a version of it done in Photoshop using the Terraficta toll. This is still a WIP, but is coming along. I am not sure if I love it though. I am concerned that the scale is too large for the Terraficta look to be right for it. I will do some more work before I decide for sure.

This is definately a global sized epic map, and depending on what you want to depict it could be exactly what your going for, or not suited to what you want. Most of the thingsthat you may want to put in may not be legible at such a scale(cities and details etc.) But you could do a factional map, of various peoples and states.

I see tons of potential for this, landorl! First, you could use as is for the global map, then as Jared suggests you could extract portions for detailed close-ups. I like it, an intriguing start!

I think that is my goal. This map is just to give the overall definition of the continents and such. Most of my focus is going to be on the continent in the center. That is where I have done a lot of my work on developing kingdoms and such. However, I wanted to have a global view of the world so that I could expand later if I wanted to. Also, it helps to have a view of the world so that I could develop the racial origins of all of the different people in the world. I am working on the major racial groups, and then as I go to the main continent, I will work on the racial groups there, and how interraction with other groups has affected their development.

Wow, I really like that map...i am no map-specialist like many of you (I still hand-draw most of my maps...and not in a quality that can compare to some of those i've seen here)...but i absolutely am a map-addict. I really like your main-continent, shape-wise.

If you work on this world, is there a place on the i-net you put that up? I would really like to know more about how you envision this world.

    Cheers

Thanks for the kind comments. I am still working on this. Right now I am detailing some of the main continent, and am still experimenting with different styles. I think that I have settled on a style for my "Smaller" kingdom scaled maps. I currently have a thread on the kingdom of Braegor, which is a small island in the middle of my main map.
