    Post Imperial City of Karnagh

Totally inspired by some city-maps I found of some-one called GeneralVyse, I started mapping a large city. I decided to start without any layout and just let it grow while I draw This small portion took me several hours but I'm getting the hang of the style now ...

    Good start.

thanks guys, i continued with the linedrawing and also did some first color experiments to check how this could look in color (no shades yet just some basic coloring). Slow progress and again it seems i got myself trapped into a "too-big-a-project"

All cities are "too big of a project" by default...even small villages take a while. Once you finish one, though, you can really hang your hat on it and feel more accomplished.

That's looking majorly awesome. You will soon be the king of the hand-drawn genre if you keep that up. I want to copy you. Looking forward to seeing this one grow.

Normally I'm not a huge fan of the 'hand-drawn' style (maybe because I'm terrible at it ), but I really like the way this is turning out.

After having finished (or nearly finished) several large city maps Ascension is indeed correct that they are all "too big of a project".
