    Wip Galaxy with starfield

Hi, so uh this is my first post in here. I like the site and you guys have some amazing maps!

Anyhow, I am writing a ruleset for Sci-fi roleplaying and I wanted a cover for it. So I made one and decided I'd show it off and see what you guys thought. Oh yeah, if anyone knows or can help... I'm using openoffice to write the rules and I'm pretty new to it.. any idea how to make this image work as the cover?

    Hope you like!

Very eye catching. I think that the title should be a very little bit brighter. Love the energetic nebula.

I use OpenOffice (or any office app for that matter) so infrequently that I cannot help you on your question.

Looks nice - I've re-uploaded your image as an attachment to make use of the board's thumbnailer/viewer.

    Love the cover.

Intresting enough, I'm also helping a friend of mine create his own Sci-Fi RPG, and I'm the one doing the planetary rules / graphics etc.

I'm using mainly Fractal Terrains Pro to do the planets.

There must be a second image I can't see here from work because I don't see any galaxies in the book cover image. However I agree with nolgroth, the nebula is very well done.

That nebula looks fantastic. Did you model it on a real one?

Looks a bit like the Crab Nebula, I think.

    Praise

one of the coolest space images ive seen.
i agree with nolgroth, something needs changing with title...brighten, and put on bottom, the nebula attracts to much attention towards the top.
