Welcome Aboard!
Just joined today. Some very impressive artists on this site!!
I am a RPG game master (for the past 28 years) and have only just discovered the joys of computer map design/artistry. Which is ironic as I have been a photographer and photoshop user since 1995.
I now make most of my maps for my campaigns in CC3 and add a little flourish is Photoshop, I have been slowly revamping my many hand-drawn maps by scaning and enhancing in photoshop too. I look forward to being inspired.

Howdy and welcome.

Well with that background you should be pretty familiar with most of the software on here. Show us what you've got! Welcome to the guild.
Thanks for the welcome.
I have posted a city map from my campaign world. This is fairly typical of the maps I make. As the players explore the city I add labels in a photoshop layer.
I rarely decide what each building houses before hand. I let the narrative of the game dictate what they find, keeping in mind of course that there should be more cobbler's shops and cramped dwellings than magic shops and mansions.
It took about two and a half hours. Did the bones in CC3 and added colours and texture in Photoshop.
I have not really thought to add much more to my maps before visiting this site, as no-one else really sees them. But I am now keen to make more artistic and interesting maps.
Comments appreciated

I like what you're doing there in the roofs, the detail, very nice.
