    Default Lunch time art doodle

Soo.. was bored yesterday between work stuff and opened Gimp. Figured I would doodle something up and ended up making a sword. Not happy about how the outline came out, and it could perhaps use a few more touch ups, but here is draft one. As usual, feel free to use for Non commercial use with attribution. And if anyone has any tips or hints on how to make it better (I would like to get some runes carved into the blade perhaps), please feel free to share.

I can always use some swords. As far as runes go, make em gray and put a very small and subtle outer bevel on em.

Here is an update. Added a few runes and a bit more highlights.

Looks good - I'd go darker with your darks though - perhaps a hard dark edge using the lines in gimp (sensitivity off, click then shift click) t0 make the outline very crisp.

    I like it - it's got a rough-forged look to it.
