Interesting start. Cliffs look great and I love those little fires.

Now how are you going to work Nights In White Satin into the map?!

Looking cool snodsy; cool like a nice evening there beneath those stars. I look forwards to those fires really glowing to warm things up!

    ### Latest WIP ### Apr/May 2016 Lite Challenge: Red River Gorge

Not sure if this is going to work, my first animated gif, will work on the transitions of timing and fading. The day version has the details which as it turn into a night scene looses all the details, so I thought it might be interesting to see the transformation as you would in real life from high upon a perch.

That's pretty cool snodsy! I love the way you've made the song float up the cliffside!

A shame the gif is over so quickly and isn't looping for me. Though to be fair, gifs are never normally that large!

Thanks GLS, I set the loop for just once for now, will work on that once I figure out size limitations and get more into the transitions.

That GIF is really cool, though I'd like to see more glowing around the fireplace, that's what would really stand out for me. It would be cool that in the day the tents are packed up or something like that. You're doing a great job!

Thanks Tonnichiwa and Josiah VE for the comments. Like that idea of the tents being set up or something. I was thinking of having an OWL fly into the scene and land on the (yet to be designed) Title, as well as work on the FIRE glowing brighter.

One problem i can see with having an animated gif at this size, is that you're either going to have to cut a lot of image quality or you are going to end up with a HUGE filesize. The current gif you uploaded is allready nearly 9MB.

A good option might be to convert your gif to the .webm format using https://gfycat.com/ - It'll allow you to keep the high quality but still keep the filesize down. (though i don't know if this forum works with webm files as attachments.)
