Thanks again for the comments all! It really does inspire. I've been searching through the tutorials and forums here and am so inspired by everyone's work here that I plan on making a planetary map my next project once my to do list gets cleared up. Thanks again for the comments! As far as the spaceships, I build a rough model with google Sketchup to make sure that it would 'work' in reality, and more inportantly to make sure I've got the perspective right, then I paint over it using Corel Paintshop Pro XI.

How does the FTL work in your setting?
