It's intolerably slow for me. What are the benefits of this new system?

Also, you can only see the attachments if you are logged in.

Yeah, I noticed that at times yesterday being intolerably slow and all. I think it may be due to the robustness of this software and the fact that I'm on shasred hosting, so during the day I get to fight for server load....last night it was lightning fast. I'll ask my host about it today and see what my options are.

I'll also check tghe attachment permissions, thanks Rob!

Actually, that's a standard feature and only the immortals actually see the IP. The rest of us mortals don't actually get bothered with those fiddly details.

You are correct! I noticed that last night as I was comparing the two sites.

Yeah, I don't know what I turned off, but it does seem to be working a little better today. I did optimize the database...maybe that helped?

I'm working on the style and the rss feed now.

My guess is that's the ticket right there...the difference between optimized and not can often make all the difference in the world. Quick example: My log book application (work) takes five minutes to run a global query but after careful optimization that same query runs in 30 seconds. Guess which setup my operators like better?

Yeah prior to the optimization, server loads were around 30 percent...they're averaging 4 percent now.
