I think it's amazing.
Also, I might be wrong but the scale seems a little larger than 1px = 1m, maybe more like 1px = ~1.2 to ~1.5m judging by the average size of buildings and streets.
Hi guys (and galls! Why do we always suppose it's guys we're talking to?)
Weekend's gone, and I'm back with another district, the fifth out of eight: Goldvale. It changed quite a bit since the coloured version, but I think it did so for the better. Still, I'm not sure it's good enough. While I intended the buildings and the street blocks to be a tad larger than the ones in the rest of the city, with proper gardens instead of back alleys, I can't help but feel these are a bit too far apart. However, I'm feeling particularly lazy today, so if you guys (and galls) think this is actually alright, I'm probably gonna leave it this way. So, what do you think?

So here's another update - 6 districts down, 2 left to go. I also added a first sprinkle of monuments - they're indicated in dull red for the moment, though that will probably change.

I'm still not sure about the Goldvale district though. The more I look at it, the more I feel I really should redo it. Don't you just hate it when that happens? What do you guys think?
In other news:
I've also started a Sketchup version of the city map. Importing the relief was a real pain in the ass. In the end, this is the workflow I used:
- GIMP:
- create grayscale elevation file
- export --> "DEM.png"
- Wilbur:
- open "DEM.png"
- save as Lon/Lat Text Mesh --> "DEM.txt"
- 3DEM:
- Load Terrain Model > XYZ Point cloud > "DEM.txt"
- Save USGS ASCII DEM --> "DEM.dem"
- Sketchup:
- Import "DEM.dem"
If you guys know a faster method I can use in the future, be sure to let me know!
And as always, thanks for your comments.

Goldvale is the one on the east, right? I don't mind this disctrict, if you plan to add some gardens and such things that should do the trick and give a bit of variety on the map.
This is coming along really well Caenwyr!
