Post Quick map - refugee camp

Here's a quick (1/2 hour) map I had to put together for a game tonight. I haven't posted anything for a while - so a tight game deadline was the incentive I needed to get something new done. Anyway, here it is:

Thanks. It was fun to do this one, a real challenge to get it done quickly. I was putting it together while I was waiting for a few players to turn up to our maptool session, so it had to be usable at every stage of the process. It started as a black and white line drawing. When I still had time after finishing the line drawing I dropped the background colour behind it. Then I set up an overlay layer and used the airbrush tool to place some washed out colours in - its winter in the town so washed out colours make sense. When they had arrived but were still chatting about the issues at the start of the adventure I used an overlay layer to put some light and shade into the map quickly.

The map will be used to track the murders of a killer on the loose. It details the refugee camp that has been set up to the south of this map from a while ago:

I really do love the color tones mixed with the rough lineart. It's really neat.

Very nice, torstan. I might have to use that map for one of my own games.

I'm glad you like it. It was a fun challenge tyo have to put it together quickly - and I'm pleased with many of the aspects that come out of it.
