The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

I for some reason am really bad when it comes to scale. I know how big the kingdom is it's 270 miles East to West and 285 miles North to South. (The kingdom does not claim the Burneal Forest as part of it's lands) I think my problem with scale is that I see what I want others to see in my head and then when I'm done it ends up all "wonky" scale wise. Riverhewn is a very large city (for now) that is home to about 75,000 people. Stormhaven is the second largest city home to about 25-30 thousand. The smaller towns are home to anywhere between 50-200 people with Northrun and Southrun being the most populace of the small towns.
