Thats a portable hole aint it ?

In my mages tower I made a long time back I had a lot of the above but also a garden full of wildly enchanted plants some good some terrible.

You need a teleport room too with magics to ensure a safe arrival for you and guests.

A portable hole would need emptying eventually, as it is only 10 feet deep.

Best bets: Bags of Devouring, Sphere of Annihilation (watch yer dangly bits ) or small portal to another dimension.

Hah hah yes portal to another dimension...

"You and your party arrive in this smelly cave. About thirty feet up you can see this pale blue glowing aura in a ring shape floating in the air. After a short while the ring glows bright - something is coming through. Everyone make a dexterity check..."

Depending on the wizards (and setting) perhaps a small chapel. Though wizards are not the most devout normally, many still worship a god, especially if they deal with summoning things
