Er... I believe you can already do that. Yes, just tested it. Players can change tokens no problem. Open the properties for the token, go to the config tab where you see the image, in the top left is the current token image, click the green '+' navigate to the image you want to use, done.

And the really cool thing is that MapTool has a built in projector mode that makes throwing the map on the monitor or projector all that easier.
Bill Stickers is innocent! It isn't Bill's fault that he was hanging out in the wrong place.

hmm.. when was that added? I thought I remember some talk over on the forums about this feature a just a few months ago. In any event, it would be nice to make it even easier, perhaps a right click menu on the token with a set of tokens in a certain folder and it will show all in said folder. Or perhaps set up the config properties will links to all the images you would want and then have that populate a right click menu.

I think it has been around since version b28. I agree, it would be nice to make it smoother. What I would like to see is the token mapped to a state. So you can right click choose a state and it changes the token. That way if you set state to dead for example the token changes to a "dead token". Additional states will need to be added such as attacking, defending, running, etc to really give it a lot of 'gusto', but once the mechanism is there it should be easy.

That's a great idea. So Trevor will have it next week? heh.... btw, I have not seen any talk on animated gifs(for effects) in a while, has it been mentioned recently? I have not been following the that closely forums for a few months.
