I think it was fine for me. But would be much better if there were also simultaneous Lite Challenges happening regularly.

Also, if they are going to be two months long in the future, I hope there will not be gap months.
Sorry I haven't been around much, I retired and closed my office in September and it has been a lot more work than I expected.
That being said, I liked the 2 month window better as well. I should be able to start up the lite challenges again soon.
My question to you guilders is "should I start March 15th and run until May 14th (with the regular challenge going on March 5th to May 5th or should I
Start April 2nd ish and running until May 31st?

That makes sense. Glad all is well and congratulations on retirement!

As for me, I am all for sooner as I have the itch to map lately. However, maybe it makes sense to align with the Mapping Challenge so that there is always one or the other happening at any given time.

I do like the overlap but that's because that's what I'm used to. I know I was AWOL for a couple of years but since getting back into mapping I've somehow picked up some silvers. I see the silvers as a great way to push one's boundaries whereas the golds are a showcase as well as pushing boundaries. I like when a triple silver or a golder joins in the silvers as a sort of pace-person. In both ways (concurrent and overlapping) can help those who have commissions, or looking for commissions, to manage multiple projects with defined deadlines.

My concern, though, is for those poor kids that Robbie keeps sending down the guild mines for the silver and gold required to forge those compasses. Diamond himself has amassed quite some body count We should map those guild mines

As for retirement - I'm still a few years off that for now but from what I hear it can become rather frantic for a while. There are plenty of 'trunked' projects that need to be finished as well as adjusting to the "well now you're retired you have time to..." stuff.
