We will most likely be doing both, but i'm gonna start with the arty piece that will be brought up when the player wants to look at where he is in comparison to the region he/she is in. the literal top down view of the terrain will be depicted on the interface inside of a compass so the player can see different things that are immediately surrounding them. That's the plan anyway.
