    Map Village of Potato Pointe

For this map, I needed to create a town view for a tongue-in-cheek adventure I was creating for my son. I began with a traditional top-down version, but then stumbled onto crazyred's incredible perspective version of the Fallcrest Map - and decided that more cartoon-like buildings would be a perfect match for the silly characters my son would be meeting. The map was created entirely in Xara, and likely is my biggest time-sink to date.

Looks like a fun place. Is that a slide coming out the second story of the blue roofed building? I hope your son is old enough to get all the irony on this map.

I'd accidentally uploaded a slightly older version of the map, and updated it with the final version. Likely a refresh will take care of the link problem. Sorry!

Ah, okay. Right, it's working now, so nevermind. The map is very cool. I expecially love the little people.

It reminds me of the Smurfs. That's not a bad thing; it's very professional, colorful, and cartoony and I'd give my left arm (cuz I'm right-handed) to be able to draw like that. CrazyRed is crazy talented and Fallcrest is always something I look at from time to time to remind myself what genius looks like. So now I have a clean version that also makes me feel inferior...thanks Heh heh.

Very nice map, love the buildings. I can imagine the time it took. Did you use a tablet?

Plus extra reps for using Xara, yay!
