    I don't think it looks too crowded; I think it sets off the monsters. I particularly like the speed icon.

    Personally, I think the stoneling seems to crowd the map a bit but the rest seem to balance it out. Marvelous work nonetheless!

    I tried a parchment background for parts of the map, but I'm not sure about it.
    Also added a little bit more detail around Viewfort.

    ^Ditto. The parchment is good along the borders but not for taking a good proportion of the map.

    I agree with LW on this. I like it around the edges, not sure it's great taking up 1/3rd of the image though. It kind of looks like seeing it through clouds only they cover just the one side of the view which is sort of strange for some reason.

    I like the parchment but it looks unfinished to me. Maybe burn some edges, rip some, curl some, etc.

    I don't think the style of the map is suited to a parchment treatment. This map has always had a Steinberg New Yorker cover feeling to me. It feels much more modern than parchment.
