Hello everyone,
I came here along while I was searching for a tutorial for creating mountains. And I found here RobAs excellent tutorials about that topic.
I'm working on a map for my world I'm writing books about. I thought I was clever not to write about medieval times because everyone would say afterwards this and that didn't happen - wasn't researched properly. I soon was taught that it's even more complicate creating your own world. But nevertheless it's also fun
Below this you find my first attempt of creating a mountain with gimp.

Looks pretty good. I can see this on a board game type map.
If the radiance of a thousand suns was to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One...I am become Death, the Shatterer of worlds.
