    Wow. Learned as much from that article than I have anywhere in a month. So THAT's why I keep going back to Google maps (or one reason). Thanks!

    Logical, systematic approach to what we, here, have always known. More dots of varying size (combined with larger text and a thicker stroke) conveys much more info than fewer dot-variation and the same stroke across all text. That guy should have come here and asked us long ago.
