For clarification, is it safe to assume that we're sticking to the 1 square = 5 feet scale?

1 square (100 x 100 pixels) = 5 feet ...
and yes, we didn't specify the wall thickness - but there is a good reason ... didn't think of it *lol* ... but no matter what we specify we're gonna get a lot different looking things and styles anyhow ... so just go for it

I think these help a lot. Thanks for clarification. I hope somebody joins me out there soon. It feels empty.
I think I will be joining you Troedel. I wish I had noticed the Lite challenge earlier, all that time lost! I love dungeon tiles and hope I can come up with something nice. I like the concept you are starting with and can't wait to see how your piece turns out.
Question: Should these tiles contain a grid, or be gridless? Hexes?

I had every intention on joining you, but I've been preoccupied with lots of much less important things (stupid WoW!). We shall see, I guess.

Yep, it should have a square grid to make it easy to see the 15 square by 15 square size.
Question: Requirements states that walls need to be composed of solid black. Am i correct in assuming this means walled-off areas need to be black and only black? Or can the negative space within walled sections be filled with another texture or effect so long as the wall becomes solid black at all boundaries?
Specifically, in regards to this post, http://www.cartographersguild.com/sh...l=1#post149136, do the negative sections of the image (which are currently white) need to be black or can they remain white or have a texture/effect in them?
Thanks!

Solid, any area not playable should just be black. That way when we put them together they "match"
Edit: All of the other entries so far are textured, so feel free to texture them ... but make it a dark texture so it's similar.
