There was a Steampunk room at the Ontario Science Centre when I went a while ago (since I hadn't been there for ten years). But it was very disappointing. It was pretty much all cosplay steampunk Steampunk is based on Victorian-era settings where steam power is everywhere, driving all sorts of inventions. A woman wearing a corset with combat boots, top hat, gear-shaped necklace, and goggles is not necessarily steampunk, unless she's carrying an ahistorical repeating rifle, the necklace actually does something, and she's driving a steam-powered car.
