Nice! Wood working is fun. Sorry to hear about the saw complications. Glad to hear you are going smaller though. It means you'll be able to concentrate your art and painting without spreading yourself thin.

I had hope to do some work during the weekend- but with 2 birthday parties for my 7 year old there just didn't seem to be any time... so now monday, time is running out but I hope to still get a map in there... progress so far consist of gluing some styrofoam and masonite to the base and get some heights to the ground.

Managed to get a quick base color on - couldn't find anything to rinse my brushes with so I just stayed with the big brush I began with, which meant I couldn't get into the small cracks. The color got a little lighther than I wanted but I'll fix that later

Looking good I'm not going to finish my model on time, so I'll just stand on the sidelines and cheer.

I'l like to do a thousand things more, but time is running out so I've been concentrating on just getting to a point where I have a map ... my personal favorite is the water.

Really like the Water' What did you make it out of?? I think you use solvent based paint as the beads in the foam really show. Need to seal it first or use acrylic craft paints Unless of course that is the look you are going for !!?? Using solvent on foam is great for doing cobblestone if you go a little at a time. Love the setup in general. I hope this challenge comes back around in the future I had a couple of other ideas I was torn between
