The original rush was my fault...I wanted to name the subdomain after the world, but I don't think that would do the project as much justice...feel free to backburner this topic if necessary. Its important, but its not rushed.

Seeing as the wiki has a name and there is no rush to name the world, maybe we should go ahead and pick a name for the region. If you have any objection to your previous suggestion going into the poll as a potential name for the Northern region we are currently mapping, please post a note to that effect. If not they will go into a poll for region name.
Torq
The internet! It\'ll never catch on.
Software Used: Terranoise, Wilbur, Terragen, The Gimp, Inkscape, Mojoworld
Seeing as this northern region has a lot of inland lakes (or seas) why not something like (in the spirit of the cartographist's idea)
Land of the thousand seas (or Land of the thousand lakes)
Something like that. If you think 1000 is a bit much then you can downgrade it to hundred or whatever other number you like

Still I reach out for the Stars
Six hundred and forty three?
Torqinia
The Torqinian Lands
That would be Finland or Minnesota.
From this wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake
lol...that is coincidence for you Never knew that.
And i still think it would be a nice name for our region. We should make it another number than 1000 but it's still a valid name-concept if you look at our map.

Still I reach out for the Stars
You could call it "Butter".
That is such an obtuse reference I doubt most will get it, especially if you aren't from the US, and even then you might not. However, those are the sorts of names I like to toss out in games every once in a while to make the players moan.
I say each culture has it's own name for the planet, but some cultures might share the same name for it.
