Legend of Gateworld is a MMORPG i am developing that will change the way you look at non-plugin browser games. Please stay with me as I do updates!
This is the first city of one of the major islands. There are over 10 islands and this one will serve as a capital type city. Both the City and the road infrastructure are upgradable to 10 tiers and will dictate the members of the guild and faction that occupy and control that location. Every tile represents approx 1 sqr mile.

There is lots more work to do still, this island alone has 2 other minor cities, 2 farm areas, 2 wood farms, and 2 mines/quarry's.
the landscape still has lots of general detail work as I have just pulled the composition together, and the overall layout is more important then general details.
The worldmap is 14000 x 14000 at 300 dpi.

Looks cute, though if I have to upgrade my lumbermill through 100 levels, each taking progressively more time, it will be exactly like any other browser game I've played. With different graphics...

not really, they are public upgradeds and its on the community to defend them... plus the upgrades take a lot longer then 10 mins... they are huge jumps in the availability of resources and quests in the area.
everything int he game is player made so resources are important.
