Would a Lovecraftian theme be considered as 'Gothic' or is this too modern?
To me, it's all about the atmosphere, not the date range. I'd think Lovecraft would be totally appropriate.
Lovecraft is Gothic Horror. I think Torstan actually mentions Innismouth in the contest blurb.
