The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

I am actually quite excited about this (funny how destroying something that you've spent decades creating can elicit that kind of response...) and I keep getting different ideas on how I want to present it. I think I am done with the "preludes" now and it's time to start writing. There is SO much to do I envision this as a "multimedia" project with maps and writing and images. I might not post everything here as not clog up a mapping forum with a lot of non mapping based stuff. And for everyone who is following the Calan Stonebridge series no worries. He will still be around....Riverhewn will burn.... Shendenflar will fall.... I hope you enjoy the adventure....
