I thought y'all might enjoy seeing a larger view of the part of the world where my latest challenge map is set. This is preliminary work for a (hopefully to be completed one day) RPG, so I kept the art very clean and simple for ease of printing.

Very pretty and clean map. Also that compass rose is pretty awesome. =P
I am curious though. This style of map looks like it'd be perfect for vectorizing via Illustrator's Live Trace tool (well, with the labels added afterwards). Have you tried it and how would it look?
I don't have, nor have I ever used Illustrator or Inkscape, but I suspect they'd make a map like this look spectacular. One more thing to put on the 'to learn' list...
And thanks to Schwarzkreuz for the tutorial on how to make those compass roses.
What a nice and precise style!
The one thing I am a little undecided on is the font though. That handwritten style does not completely fit with the exact lines of the map itself. Have you tried a more regular Sans-Serif font?
I did try other fonts, but something about this combination just 'did it' for me.
Nice work and fonts look fine...!!!

That's a really nice map Diamond! I agree with the others, that compass rose is awesome. The font works for me as well, I like its "irregularity" beside otherwise very clean, precise lines of the map.
Welp you meet your goal of keeping it clean. Very nice job on an interesting compass rose. I'm wafflin on the regularity of the mountains tho, but as its finished so be it. Good job.
I really like this!
