Woaw ! I must say your work here is quite minutious and particularly inspiring ! I really like the style of your map as well as the details in the name of the streets. Congrats !
@Max, I'm Romanian, which is sort of like French, so I can pronounce French, and I can understand bits of it. However sometime's it's definitely much prettier than English.
Thanks Guladroth! I appreciate that you notice the work done on it
@ Amino : I'm totally agree with that
I really like this map, especially the fortress area which, though I'm not an expert, seems very historically accurate for the period. I'm really interested in the layout of your streets; I'm trying to plan a battlemap set in a city and so I always like to see examples of how streets are laid out.
Nice work!

Thanks much Meshon I took my inspiration from many 19th century cities maps, that helps a lot to set a decent layout. The fortress is a bit older (this kind of ones were built during the 17th/18th century but many europeans cities still have parts of them surroundings their areas.
The linework. The colours. the ornaments. the typo.
All fits very well.
Again one very nice map of yours.
I love it.
Thanks very much freehand Glad you like and to see you back around!
What an impressive masterpiece!!!
You perfectly got the 19th century-style. It looks like taken from a Verne's adventure.
Thanks much AzurePlanet, glad you appreciate this work And Yphyrion can now be watched on CG's front page
You are definitely very talented Max and this city map is nothing but gorgeous. It is very inspiring and I think I have to develop my city drawing techniques a bit after seeing this.
