Wip WIP - Lands by the Wall

    Hello folks!

Not much of a WIP since I'm almost complete, but I still have some small things to do...
This is a map over a region in the Silver Marches - Forgotten Realms. It's made for my gaming group where they're going to play explorers/settlers/adventurers.

I'm still going to add some more forest, and problaly remake the forest.

    What do you think?

    Hello

I like it. The way to do hills is very effective . Colours are nice, in special the mountains white. In my opinion, the forest is the weak spot cause is too thick, always in my modest view

That's pretty damn great. I envy your players; with handouts like that, they are definitely spoiled.

I like it so far! I'd suggest breaking up the border of the forest a little bit. Also add the odd pair of trees here and there. Are the two lakes meant to not drain out via a river? The break between the plans and the mountains at the bottom seems pretty severe. I like how the map seems to have a focus with the corners and tops of mountains seeming to be less defined and foggy. It's a very nice effect!

Thanks all! Yeah the forest is really weak. Going to remake it, though I want it to look thick and intimidating.

Nice job Obbehobbe but yea forests should probably be re-worked to fit the map well.

Really beautiful, I like the peaceful atmosphere it's got. Honestly I don't think the forest looks bad or odd at all, it just ends a bit abruptly, but it's very thick and intimidating, as you wanted it to be. But if you do rework it you could probably make it even better

Yeah, I don't mind the forest either. It adds to the atmosphere IMO having it end like that - a big, forbidding wall of DOOM!

    Update!
Now I like the forest better, and I've added some more icons and names.
