I used to go to these 'life' classes - well, not so much class as just set up and get on with it. Was alright, but never really good at it - not like some of them who turned up but it was fun. I think its easier to draw something thats in front of you and just copy it than trying to draw from imagination.

Which is why even the masters tend to use models or lots and lots of reference. I'm looking forward to getting into a regular schedule of life studio drawing when I go back to school.
