I'd keep it in one thread though. What's holding you
back from completing your map via this perspective?

If it's the houses or buildings, which I'm guessing
might be the case, consider asking a cartographer
who has done maps from this perspective before how
they conquered the task. You will find very experienced
mappers here. And they're normally willing to help.

What you've done so far really does look neat,
though I'll admit it's hard to see where you might
    go. Best of luck.
The best maps are the ones we like the most after looking at the longest.

No, it's not that. I drew the houses/buildings. At least... reasonable sketches for them, all that's needed, really, is some color.

And if I have color on the terrain, then I need it on the houses.

So.. I started "painting"... and with the houses arranged anywhere near appropriately, the paint isn't the problem: too many important buildings will be hidden by other structures. There's no way to *map* them from this angle.

So it would be a GORGEOUS painting... but not a good map.

I might finish it, anyway, but it won't be a map, so not appropriate for the contest.

And I'm thinking that's why most maps are top-down, so I want to try the more traditional route

So I did the land, as best I could from that view. and now I'm back where I was stuck before - houses.

If anyone knows how to fix either problem, I'd be grateful, but I don't think I can fix *this* issue.

But if it's not allowed to change your entry, I'll bow out gracefully

    Thanks for being supportive, people

Well, it's not going to win any beauty contests, but at least I've added in some buildings:

I'm starting to hope I can finish before the contest ends!

    Sorry guys. I overestimated myself.

I would have been able to manage with my short attention span, or with having to start over.

I could have made it even with the late entry, or with the unforseen time-gulping events.

I was not, however, able to deal with the combination of all of these things, and so I am left with an unfinishedmap, unworthy of sharing contest space with the fine work created by the other entrants. I will continue working on this piece after the close of the competition, but for now, I am left with only this:

My apologies. Best of luck to everyone else~!

Okay, I don't know what I did on the last map, but I'm going to keep improving what I can until it's closed off.

If that's not okay, my last entry before 9pm last night was the attachment in the previous post!
