Rofl! Love it Jalyha, maybe that could be a challenge too. To map something using developed human skills, but something else's point of view and focus (dog, kid...)!
Hard to beat my SUPER PRO drawing skills though (yeh, I know it's that bad...)
I was trying to illustrate (badly) that no matter how a species perceives information, or what information they find relevant... it *can* be mapped (let's face it, if *I* can do it, anyone can! )
Hello:
Interesting, actually very interesting question and concept. How does a creature know their surroundings and how would they map it. Lets see...
Insects are a good example to bring into an unusual world.
Bees or giants bees use from my understanding a dance to communicate to other bees the locations of resources and items of interst. So I think that their maps would look like a bee doing dance moves.
Ants use pheromones to follow and travel. So I guess it would be a scent map. I do not know what that would look like.
Reptiles
some reptiles use heat vision or sense heat with their tongues. So a heat map,
This is a very interesting concept.
Thank you

GP, where in that thread is the map itself? Post 1 says to go to post 42, but there's nothing there.
I don't know, but if you look up page, I posted the same map again in this thread.
