I've decided I like it. Since it can be collapsed and thus become all but invisible, it's really not a hindrance to anyone who doesn't like it. And it does sometimes help point me to where the most interesting things are going on.

I've been thinking exactly the same thing. It has pointed me to some threads that I might have missed otherwise. Previously I was neutral but now I guess I would be neutral good.
