A quick update - testing the coastlines with a rough colour, and a couple of terrains:

Looks good. It will be interesting to see a larger set utilizing the coasts.
The jaggedness and irregularity adds a lot.
The 3d nature of the mountains is really nice. Takes it to another level.

Indeed. Here's a larger style test, and I think the lower set of sea styles will do the trick.

It looks good. The only problem I can foresee with the lower sea texture is the rotation issue.
Though... I guess you probably have these tiles coded to not need to rotate... so I guess it isn't a problem.

Yep As soon as you go with isometric, you break the symmetry and can't do any rotation. So these are staying aligned as is

Very cool project! Very nice style and well done! Maybe the sea could be a little "calmer" if you know what I mean?

You're not the only one asking for that. Looks like I need to create some intermediate options for the sea tiles. Thanks for the note.

Here's the progress on the coastlines. Getting there, they're up and in the app, and currently being tested.

    Default Helping picking border styles?

    Which type of borders?

I'm testing different ideas for border styles. I think all of these are possible to create, and each have some pros and cons:
    1. Filled Regions: simple - easy to fill a hex with a colour
    2. Blurred Edges: a bit of a pain to illustrate and code, but totally doable.
    3. Illustrated borders: works until you have two different border types collide (a fence, and a line of standing stones side by side?)
    4. Simple Dots: already coded, but a little stark.

Thoughts? (and 'none of those' is a totally valid answer)
