    Default Redthorn by Jaxilon

    RedThorn: Commission for Bogie.

    Redthorn is an island set somewhere in the Forgotten Realms.

    Mixed media: The island, ship, whale, compass rose and title sign where painted in watercolor. Everything was then scanned and touched up or created digitally. The city illustrations are entirely digital and labels where done by hand except for the Title. I used traditional tools, my Intous 5 as well as a Cintiq Companion to do all the work. The toughest thing was making the various pieces done in different mediums all come together.

    I love how the sea looks and also the city icons (specially Ashland) !!
