Map Central Seas - Fantasy map commission

    Hey everyone,

This set of black and white maps was a commission for the writer Vidar Edland and his upcoming novel "Saga of the Central Seas", depicting the Central Seas territories and a zoomed in regional map of the Western Lands.

Hope you'll like it. As usual, feel free to rate, rep or run away

As usual, Max, very nice job.
Lots of creative names on this one - did you come up with them, or were they supplied by the client?
The best maps are the ones we like the most after looking at the longest.

Nice one, Max. It is great to see that, even without colour, your maps remain stylish and elegant.

I don't know if you are taking suggestions, or if it is completely finished, but I wonder if it would be worth clearly marking where on the upper map the lower one is depicting. It took me a little while to locate it, and I just think it could be a bit clearer.

Thanks for the rep ! Actually the map is finished. I see what you mean, though the maps are small and I wouldn't want to clutter them more. I guess the book text will help the reader about it anyway.

Another beautiful map, full of details I kinda agree with THW, but yeah, it will probably easier to spot in the book. I really like the "familiar yet different" feeling. A bit like the Olde World of Warhammer. I would have "repped" and "liked" if I could have...

Thanks Ilanthar ! Yes there is some sort of reminiscence of Europe that gives the "familiar" feeling.

I like it a lot. As always i would wish for different forests (although those are very good for this style) AND for a higher resolution for a bigger picture (no pun intended ).

I think Vidar is also an rpg author. I hope he'll make a setting out of this...the map is already a looker!
