Wip Opinions needed on my island :)

Hi here is my actual project: a big island (no name yet) continent. Exuberant vegetation, hard to climb mountains and a remote hidden valley (middle left).

I know that the mountains sharpness look a little strange but I have not a tablet and so I use a set of brushes (@Quabbe, great set!!), the only one that I've found attuned to my style, till now.
I love maps full of forests but ....is that too much for you?
And what about swamps? It's my first time drawing them.
Hope to receive a lot of opinions/critiques,
see ya on the next stage

    Bye

So far so good. Now ya just have to label all that stuff.

A couple of small things are bothering me.

Yes, as you said the sharpness of the mountians is not constant and that could be improved.
The other thing is the rivers: they are thin near the coasts but large inland. This suggests that the water is flowing away from the ocean.

The forests are fine. Forests could be used to indicate the density of population with unsettled lands covered with trees, or to indicate the climate. At this scale it's rarely precise anyway so it's mostly a matter personal preference.

A good start! I agree with Azelor and just to add : your swamps are fine, but I think you could improve them a bit darker and more "harsh" to fit the other elements (as the forests). Not much more to say

You're totally right, I was drunk when I was drawing the rivers? Who knows...?
About the mountains how can I improve them? Some brushes are sharper than others of the same set, but they blend so good togehter that I can't find an alternative.
Thanks for the suggestions, really appreciated.

    Default Improvements

Some new improvements (I hope ).
Rivers redone after my drunkenness, now should flow the right way . (credits to @Azelor for letting me know)
I've redrawn the shorelines also (credits to @chick for the tip).
