Private Commission: The Realm of Middle Earth

Early December I was commissioned to make a hand-drawn poster of Tolkiens Middle Earth in my own style. While doing this I took inspiration from a array of different maps over Tolkiens masterpiece

I will let the map speak for itself.

There sure are plenty of maps of Middle Earth, but this one is really nice. Very well drawn and detailed, with lots of labels. I did notice that the Misty Mountains are only labeled as Hithaeglir, which surely is a much less well known name than the Misty Mountains.

Thanks a lot people! It’s all done by hand with ink on an a3. Except for the scan, this has never been close to a computer

Excellent map, I especially like the labeling. Hand-written labels that are as neat and readable as you've made them is really hard to pull off, especially in a b/w maps. Great!
