    Default New-Seawatch

    Hi Everybody I have just started to make my first Town map. what do you think? Is the colour scheme right, should I add more details? Is there something I've done completly wrong?

    Very nice work! Your hill shading adds a very nice feel to it all.
    That being said, if you plan on adding shadow to the map, add it to the other features on the map as well (like buildings, maybe trees).
    Also remember that the sun shines from one direction. So if the bottom and right hill have shadow on the south, than the hill on the left side would also have it there and not on its western side.
    That being said, I think it is a great first town map. I love the trees and I think the grass looks very nice.
    Once you add shadows to other parts like the roofs, and maybe lighten the water color (make it more gradual from the coastline, so it gives the feeling of a shore,shallow,etc) it is going to be very finished in my mind.
    These are just my thoughts and suggestions.

    Thank you oh captain my captain,

    you are totally right ... I got lazy while making trees so i copied a couple of them and pasted them... I will do some corrections and add some additional stuff! hopefully I'll get it done until sunday. Best hacki

    Alot of people use the exact same tree brush across an entire map. So don't worry if you copy and paste a bit haha.

    Good work, I like your drawn elements! The colors are fine too, except for the water that I find too "blue" compared to other (personnal taste, though). I would also underline more the coastline and roads borders.
