    Great work so far.
I think this is gonna turn into a great map. Very nice colors. I enjoy the simplistic style, while still keeping very clean and neat symbols.
The compass rose looks great as well. Maybe consider darkening it a bit (personal opinion)
I feel it could register as a "seal" or stamp someone pushed on. Just a thought
Overall great start. I will be following this one for sure

I agree with CJH, the windrose is too embedded into the map background. A drawing without a compass is just a pretty picture.

The compass is such an important part of any map that you don't want to make it look like either background decoration, or like an afterthought. I second the idea of making it darker and more like a part of the map than a part of the background parchment.

Very nice progress! That compass really looks great as well.
Are you planning on coloring each region in the top landmass a different color?

Well now i am thinking of it. But i had in mind doing some other thing about the region boarders - dont know what yet. Its just that the coloring needs to be carefully done when theres already some color in it(the white).

You could always set the white layer above the other colors and maybe drop the opacity down slightly. or feather its edge to blend.
I was only asking because your region borders are very sharp and skinny. If you don't color the regions, I would maybe thicken or soften the region borders.
There is nothing wrong with it currently either, just my opinion.
Very nice work so far though.

Thats a great idea the boarders as they are now are guides for where they eventually will be later on
