The font is Thimfora. A pretty fantasy font.

Havent commented yet, but followed some of the progress... First of all i admire the city icons. The small variations are great! With the high density of cities in some places you did a great job at labelling... Prof. Dr. Eduard Imhof would be proud of you... I personally think the old compass wasn't too elaborated but i like the barbarian vibe too Overall a very well done and inspiring map!

I hesitate to mention this now, after you've done so much, but... I'm not a huge fan of the contrast between the city names in the south, where all the desert is, with the ones in the north or the ones over the ocean. That outer glow is very jarring in my opinion, especially the names over the water.

I'll play around with the effects and see what I can do.

I added several locations and worked on the readability of the city labels.
I guess this map is more or less finished.
